Ok… so there was really no partying in Abu Dhabi…I just love that song! On my 5th or 6th day in the UAE, I visited the capital of the country: Abu Dhabi. The city’s main resource is its oil. Oil was found in this city and it has enough to last over 150 years. It’s crazy because gas is cheaper than water here…can you imagine?!
While in Abu Dhabi, I was blessed to visit the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. It was SOOOO beautiful. Words can’t express how beautiful it was. SERIOUSLY. Not only is it the largest mosque in the UAE but also the eight largest mosque in the world. I wish I had more pictures to show half its’ beauty but I will definitely have some more to share once I return to Abu Dhabi in the fall 🙂
What about you? Have you been to Abu Dhabi? What are your thoughts?
Below are a few pictures from my visit to Abu Dhabi.

I live for experiences...and Dubai was definitely one I had to check off my #bucketlist. In October 2013, I gifted myself a trip to Dubai and Abu Dhabi. I found a Groupon that I though was very reasonable. This was my first time buying a “trip” through Groupon but I wasn’t skeptical at all. Within 48 from purchasing my Groupon I was contacted by Gate 1 Travel agency and they were able to confirm my ticket and room reservations. They also emailed me with a very detailed itinerary and I can’t say I wasn’t impressed. This Groupon was all-inclusive with the hotel and flights and most meals included. Someone would come pick us up at the airport when we landed in Dubai so I figured that was safe…and it was!
I’m not gone lie, I was a little nervous about going to Dubai since I had heard so many myths about how strict the culture was there but I wanted to experience it for myself. I soon began to research Dubai and found it to be pretty regal. Everything about Dubai seemed to be magical. I saw pictures of buildings that were amazingly beautiful.
I took all my pictures on my iPhone while I was in UAE. When I got back to the states, I never backed up my phone and all my pictures were lost when I was doing a silly Apple update…I was C R U S H E D 😦 All my pictures were gone…. I was able to save the ones below off my instagram page and from the email of pictures I sent my mom while I was in Dubai.
Below are few of the main attractions that I witnessed in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. I seriously can’t wait to go back with my Momsi in September! We were lucky enough to catch the flight deal last Christmas through Etihad.
The Burj Khalifa is the tallest building in the WORLD. It is named after the President of UAE, who is also the Prince of Abu Dhabi. It has the tallest free-standing structure in the world and the highest number of stories in the world.

About 7 years ago, this was all sand and ruins. Building it’s growth on trade and tourism, Dubai has created a niche for itself and made it’s mark as one of the fastest growing cities in the world.

…so I decided to dedicate a blog entirely to my experiences. Traveling has really allowed me to learn a lot about myself as a person and taken me out of my comfort zone. I’ve been traveling FOREVER and I want to be able to share my travel experiences…
